Cut #1               :29                   O.C...”more U.S. beef”

The USMEF, with the help of checkoff funds, continues to hold informational seminars and events at restaurants in an effort to build better impressions of U.S. beef to widen the use of different muscle cuts…tape

Cut #2                :25                     O.C…”have of U.S. beef"

Cut #3                :40                   O.C...”one year ago”

Brook says what is remarkable is that the Middle East seems to have ridden through this economic crisis almost unscathed. There have been massive slowdowns in construction but it hasn’t fed through to the food sector and is literally in expansion mode…tape

Cut #4                :20                   O.C...”American-style dining franchises”

The Beef Checkoff Program was established as part of the 1985 Farm Bill. The checkoff assesses $1 per head on the sale of live domestic and imported cattle, in addition to a comparable assessment on imported beef and beef products. States retain up to 50 cents on the dollar and forward the other 50 cents per head to the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board, which administers the national checkoff program, subject to USDA approval.
