Richard Hodge is a Vietnam Veteran and has run a cow-calf operation in Texas for more than 30 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and was named Outstanding Cattleman of Matagorda County in 2003. Richard is an active participant in his community and beef industry. He has served as a state director for the Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas, secretary/treasurer and vice president for the Matagorda County Farm Bureau, and as a county director for the Matagorda County Soil & Water Conservation District. He also serves on the Checkoff Committee of the U.S. Cattlemen's Association.
